The printer is defaulted to 8.5x11 in the printer properties even though I changed the size in printer driver. any way to resolve this?

How to connect a printer to a netbook or the other way around? I got a netbook(Aspire one) and I can't set up the printer. Usually I put the disk that came with the printer into the disk drive and upload it but the netbook doesn't have a disk drive. Can anyone help me please...I need a printer for school.

Try to search for the drivers on a printer manufacturer website.

I also have a netbook, an HP Mini which doesn't have a cd rom, so what I did was download the printer software into their site.
Try to do the same.
